SENSITIZATION

We always learn and get to know more information through sensitizations. JESO sensitizes the elderly on economic, social, religious and health issues. This helps the elderly to understand how to go over such issues.

This Namuli Nzera, 90 years of age, living alone no one to help her and on top of that she is having a problem with eyes , she feels as if burdening the neighbors, kids fear me because of my status and looks. JESO found her sited on the bed in her house made of wattle; she says in times of stormy rains it is just GOD to protect her. She does everything in the house like cooking, washing, bathing, this happens when a kind person comes in to help with the needs. Also she comments that if nocturnal animals like rats and insects (bedbugs) come, my life will be in more difficulties.

She says that “I wouldn’t wish anyone to become old due to the difficulties am finding with this age but it is a blessing from GOD because it’s a stage in life that everyone undergoes”.
